Iran’s Jewish community condemns US-Israeli attack on synagogue in Tehran 

The Iranian Jewish community has condemned the US-Israeli airstrike on a Synagogue in central Tehran, declaring the community’s unwavering solidarity with the nation in defending the homeland.

Iranian media outlets said the Rafi-Nia Synagogue was completely destroyed and the surrounding houses were seriously damaged in an attack on Tuesday.

Footage also showed civil defense workers searching through the rubble, where Hebrew-language books lay scattered on the ground.

In a statement, the Jewish community said that the brutal attack on the religious site has once again proved that the US and the Zionist regime “harbor enmity toward the Iranian people, without any distinction of ethnicity or religion."

The Jewish community also declared its “historic allegiance” to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people, and the brave warriors of our beloved Iran.”

Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref also condemned the attack in a message on X.

“The attacks on the synagogue in Tehran and the church in Isfahan are not merely strikes against a religion; they are strikes against the very heart of Iran.”

The vice president further said that “these cowardly acts of aggression” will only serve to strengthen the unbreakable bond between Iran's diverse religious communities and ethnicities.

Judaism is among the religious minorities constitutionally recognized in Iran.
